He’s got me; best I ever did was 115 in my 1972 Mustang Mach I on I 465 in the wee hours of the morning. It had more to give but the Ford steering was so bad, I was starting to drift between lanes. That was enough for me.

It’s an old insurance axiom that male drivers 25 or under have no sense.
To: 1rudeboy
If he can afford the car, he can afford the tickets. Maybe he was only in 3rd gear?
To: 1rudeboy
If it is a manual transmission he had to have at least one gear left.

I got up to 140 in my Z-28 and it felt like I was gonna go air born any second, so I backed off.

His Daddy won’t be pleased when the insurance rates go sky high. If you are 25 and have an R8, it was probably given to you.

Speed costs money. How fast do you want to go?

Back in Jan 1985 I pegged the 155 MPH digital speedo on my new Vette. I was on a very straight two-lane highway out west during a very bright full moon.
The faster I went the better that car hunkered down and drove.

henkster you must have needed a tune-up, I was able to get to 131 in my 1972 Mach1 :)

I did 157mph in an Audi A3 in Germany. We got passed by a big Mercedes sedan that must have been doing 200.

Far better than I could ever do - about the fastest I've gone is in a 1950 Chrysler Windsor with Fan Drive. Southbound on I-95 in Howard County I had it up to 110 one evening.
