Funny how when the team wins, it's not due to Tebow When the team won (always against mediocre opponents) it was due to the unfamiliarity of Tebow's style - when they finished 1-4 it was because Tebow's style was no longer unfamiliar.

I’m from Philly so I’m a long-suffering Eagles fan. The last couple years that McNabb was there, he began to suck and then he really sucked. But those of us (read: All the actual fans who actually watched all the games) who suggested his time had come and gone were labeled racists and other things.
No. In the NFL it doesn’t matter a whit - though I do have problems with murderers on the Ravens getting hero sendoffs - it’s how you play on the field. Period.

Murderers? Plural?
Please name them.
Don’t know why you won’t just say the name. Ray Lewis. See, how hard was that? Ray Lewis. Easier each time.
You haven’t actually read a sentence of the trial’s transcript, have you? Everything you know about the case you got from the MSM. Hilarious.

Thank you for being a voice of sanity on this thread. A few lucky flings and some people were planning their future trips to Canton to witness Tebow’s Hall Of Fame induction. Yes, I understand he was a great college QB, but so was Ryan Leaf.

Manning started out 2-3 the following year.
The bottom line is Tebow had a very good season.

I was sort of pointing out that the last 5 games of the season were nothing like the previous 8. The last 5 games included a big win against the Steelers and two losses to a very good Patriots team.

Say what?

I certainly don't expect you to have read this whole thread, but if it makes things better,
I had no issue naming Ray Lewis in my first comment.

Ray Lewis. They brought in Donte Stallworth after he ran over a guy at 4 AM while under the influence - of course, that wasn't murder and the details were sketchy. Terrell Suggs hasn't murdered his fiancée/girlfriend yet, but he's come pretty close during his arrests for abusing her.
Yes, I know. Ray Lewis was never convicted of murder nor have the other guys, but you're getting away from the point here: Tim Tebow sucks.
You havent actually read a sentence of the trials transcript, have you? Everything you know about the case you got from the MSM. Hilarious.
Odd conjecture. Incorrect, as it turns out. I am 100% confident Ray Lewis knows exactly who did the stabbing - if it was him or one of his posse. He knows where he hid his bloody clothes and he knows why the dead guy's blood was in his limo. And Tebow is still a terrible NFL QB.

Hopefully Tebow will change to another position and get picked up by another team. He was not the greatest Quarterback but many other quarterbacks switched to another position and did fine. Don’t be stubborn Tim!

Sports also expect results which Tebow failed. He did nothing to help the Jets.

It was clear from Day 1 that Tebow wasn’t going to be given any chance
BS! He played and sucked!!! Sorry but football is a business. Why you want to have football turn into charity cases is beyond me. Conservatives wake the heck up! He did not do well and that is why he was cut. Sanchez would be have been cut too if they did not have a contract on him. Sanchez will not be resigned!

Hopefully Tebow will change to another position and get picked up by another team. Tebow has made it clear that teams take him as a QB or don't take him at all.

No, he was given no real chance to play. Bringing him in for one or two "wildcat" plays isn't playing the position. The Jets offensive line players routinely badmouthed him to the local press, with no repercussions because the coaching staff agreed with them; without the respect of your teammates, how can you play effective QB anyway? Even when Sanchez was benched for his lousy performance, they went with 3rd and 4th string QBs rather than Tebow.
The coaching staff didn't want him and never intended to use him. He was #2 on the depth chart only to please management and to make them not look like total fools for signing him. But he wasn't going to be given the chance to prove the coaches right or wrong.
I'm not saying what Tebow would have done with such a chance. I'm just saying that the Jets' front office and coaching staffs were not on the same page -- at all -- with regards to Tebow. Of course, given that the coaching, QB, and offensive line situations were a total disaster, I think we can accept SNAFU as the normal mode of operation for the Jets.

I was not talking about Tebow. Sports was a failure before Tebow. Maybe you need a 12 step to help you get over it.

It’s futile to point out Tebow’s shortcomings as an NFL qb to those who don’t listen, to those who prefer their own narrative over reality.
To: GSWarrior
I know. Dwelling on that one playoff win. If that is the standard what would Vince Ferragamo’s and David Woodley’s Super Bowl runs be in comparison? Even Dieter Brock won a playoff game in his only NFL season, granted the Rams had Eric Dickerson in the backfield. A win is still a win, by logic.

Then he would have finished 0-5 rather than 1-4.

Manning trended up, Tebow down.
