This must be a hoax. No one is going to fund a $250M reboot this horrible.
A lot of the Trek movies have been awful.
This will kill Star Trek forever. It died pathetically, like a broken man with dementia pumped full of pain killers.
Next up will be abrams killing Star Wars.
Unfortunately, yes, they will. Including my wife.
Who won’t take me because I truly hated the reboot and she claims I spoiled it for her. I even tried to force my imagination to consider it solely as its own entity without any relationship to other Trek stuff. STILL hated it; maybe even hated it more.
For most people seeing this, I suspect this is not a “reboot” any more tan the Buck Rogers in the 25th Century TV show was a reboot of the Buck Rogers serials. To these youngsters, it IS Trek. So, yes, it will make its money.
