You’re missing the point. When Castro overthrew the government he WAS protecting people (Many of them believed this if not everyone). The same is true for Qadaffi and Chavez. You simply cannot deny that many of the dictators had broad support at the beginning. If you really think that 9000 heavily armed cops and a full day lock down is over kill I don’t know what to tell you. It’s simply not reasonable in a free society in my opinion. Searching someones private home because the city needs to be safe is a good reason why the second amendment cannot be touched. When the government wants to silence the population will it look so much different that what happened on Friday?

Can you tell us one person they protected in this fiasco? I don’t want to hear what their job description says but reality in this incident. And how many citizens did they instill terror into?
