Usually we're all about Country but tonite we're going with Margaritas and my cheesy (but great in an impressionist sort of way) 70/80’s “power pop” compilation
Highlights are:
Eddie and Hot Rods-Do Anything You Wanna Do
Flamin Groovies-Shake Some Action
Raspberries-Go All the Way
ELO- Do Ya

Today I did laundry and listened to a bunch of 50’s and 60’s oldies.....Buddy Holly, Ricky Nelson, Eddie Cochran, Richie Vallens, Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Elvis + Janice Joplin, CCR. I also like to listen to Harry James, Glen Miller, Pete Fountain, Al Joelson......And I also like to listen to Quiet Riot, AC/DC, Train, but my favorite all time best of all is Dan Seals (”Bop With You Baby”, “I'd Really Like To See You Tonight”, “Everything That Glitters Is Not Gold”). I met him, he showed me how a metal detector works, real nice guy, I cried when he died.

The soundtrack for “The Alamo” (Carter Burwell, 2004). Always beautiful, sometimes very rousing, sometimes very sad.
Track #10, “The Visitation Of Saint Ursula” can bring a tear anytime.

Sun Ra, LOL.... quite the Arkestra.
Me, I’ve got John Cage’s 4.33” cranked to 11.
After that, perhaps Ornette Coleman Pat Matheny doing Song X.

New (late 2012) Mark Knopfler CD, Privateering. Listening on a vintage Fisher console stereo with an .mp3 player wired into the auxiliary input. Love the sound quality.

After that, perhaps Ornette Coleman Pat Matheny doing Song X. One of the few Metheny albums I just could never get into.

I’ve been listening to the new Hem CD a lot recently. At this moment the CD entitled Cuba by the Silos is playing in the background.
