I’ve been around FR long enough to remember the days when posts were pulled because they had too many images. Almost everybody had dial-up 28.8kps modems (the richer among us had 33.6kps Sportsters) and we would all squawk when images would cause our pages to take 2-3 minutes to load.

I had a 33.6 modem that I installed on my 25mhz Tandy... not rich at all.... the box looked something like this
