The rule about both parents’ being with children applying is because one parent would take a child out of the country and refuse to come back. Notably Moslem fathers, but also other nationalities where custody was disputed.
Elen drove us to choir practice at Asuncion’s, and safely back. Now Tom has gone to get gas for the lawnmower. I gave him $20, so he can fill the gas can and then add a couple of gallons to the car.
Bill is still in his pajamas, which are nowhere near as cute as mine.

If Bill isn’t wearing pink flamingo pajamas, there is no way his jammies could be as cute as yours! :o]
I understand about the two parent rule, but I don’t understand why you have to go through so much to get passports.

I don’t get it, either. I mailed mine in for renewal.

Well, RG, I was laughing so hard I had to go change my clothes, and if I thought about it again, I would, again, have to change my clothes.
So I erred on the side of caution...
(But man! Is that FUNNY!)

I swam 2,200 meters, which is 1.37 miles, per the handy Google unit converter.

A whole lot of something, but I don’t remember what. It’s more than a gross, though.

Good for you! I will let you know when I have reached that same marker. How are your feet and ankles?
Maybe you should substitute the swimming for the running?

For the foreseeable future, I’ll have to swim or get no exercise at all. I like swimming better than running, but I can run at home or just out the door, while I have to drive to the pool to swim.

But swimming is “low-impact” and doesn't jar the body like running does.
Also, the benefits are more compound because of the natural buoyancy in the water. Not so much wear and tear on joints, tendons and ligaments.
(Just sayin’)
