Just for your interest, US plates turn up over here on a regular basis.
They are sold as decorative items for household improvements.
Bet you never get any of ours.

No, but you can apparently use foreign style plateson vehicle here.
But you have to pay an arm and a leg for it.
Usually seen on Porches or VeeDubs.

I’ll have to take your owrd about the Beemers, Benzes, and Rolllz onthat one.
I’ve seen the Porches and Veedubs with the expensive vanity “Europlates” on them, but not the others.
So far.
Have I been lucky?

Bently I saw had vanity plates.. NY state plate that said something like “BiteMe sckr”.
Real nice.
As for Jeagers, usually some lame plate with initials or meaningless drivel.
But no “Europlate” on it.

If I had vanity plates, they would say, “Why are you reading this?”

Odd as it sounds...a friend of mine has a yellow Euro-style license on his golf cart for use at the race track, towing the race car to the Pits after a run.
It says, “TOW PUP.” His diesel dually is “TOW DOG” The yellow plate has the MA flag on it! I don’t think I have a photo of it, though. I’ll ask him for one.

character limitationsUmmm... Isn't that something highly prevalent in places like, say, Albany, Gracie Mansion, or The District of Columbia?

My plate says “KC 669.” It’s a Knights of Columbus “affinity” tag, the 669th issued in the state. If I chose the tag, it would probably be something uncontroversial, like TCS VAN.
I have a collection of plates on the walls of the laundry room.

"yellow Euro-style license on his golf cart "
The Yellow plate can make any vehicle look like a golf cart.
Alfa Romeo produced a nice looking car a few years ago, they forgot the recess on the front (fender) bumper for the plate.
The plate is now screwed to the bumper under the headlights on one side, and looks hideous.

TCS Van.
Having played the Wing Commander series of games, TCS Van sounds to my mind like it should be a carrier or a cruiser.
Wonder what the hull number would be?
