I’m on Disc 27 of “Anna Karenina.” Princess Kitty had a baby. Her nerdy husband Levin nearly had a breakdown because he’d never been around childbirth, although of course Princess Kitty had, because she has a shoal of nieces and nephews.

In an earlier episode, Levin didn’t want her to go with him to visit his crazy brother who was dying, but she insisted. He was astonished to find that, as a sheltered, homekeeping young lady, she’d spent half her life nursing the sick and knew exactly what to do to make the poor man comfortable.

How’d the job fair go?

Pretty good. Nine companies, only two of which were trolling for you to pay them.

One company had only two openings.

Three companies were vaguely related to what I do. Applied at two of them, didn't apply at Intel as they won't even look at a mustang engineer.

Over an hour and a half in line for one of the others. My old boss was in line ahead of me and gave me some good tips on the way out. Looks encouraging, and only a 4 hour drive from my house...

Mine is a set of four. It has a book with some easy projsects in it, as well. I may get to it, one of these days...

Either will pass on it or maybe add a can to homemade salsa when and if tomato planting is successful. We’re planning to grow jalapenos, too, so we don’t buy too much canned stuff any more.

I’m pretty sure (although, of course, don’t know if it’s a fact) that serial killers mess up other people’s houses and not their own. When we went to a Civil War reenactment in MS, we met a delightful young biker named “Booger” (name was related to the color of his first bike—hadda ask) who told us that he and his dad caught holy halifax from his mom for prepping a deer in her kitchen. Body fluids hard to get out of grout, etc. Upon reflection, maybe that’s an erroneous assumption.
