Runway IPA from Dale Brothers Brewery (Upland, CA) where I'm presently typing from. I say that even though IPAs aren't my favorite brew. Most are so raw that I really can't take them, but this IPA is smooth and very tasty. My favorite, alas, is dark brews, and the California Black Beer is a solid dark ale, and the Pomona Queen (aged) is a great lager. Just stopped by to do a bit of work online, do some browsing on FreeRepublic, and enjoy a big of brew.

I have to admit the new trend towards microbreweries opening their doors to the public to share and enjoy their brews is a great change. While they're (typically) limited to JUST selling their brews (no food, no other products, just what is made on premises), most invite local vendors to come in and set up food service on certain days of the week.
My wife and I have become fans, and visit a few breweries a month, though Dale Brothers is our ‘favorite’ so far. Plus, a couple pints for $4 a piece, and a half gallon for $10, it can be rather economical when you're talking specialty brewing.
And my wife is enjoying at the moment the very last of the mango IPA mixed with their great porter, else I'd recommend that.

Southern Tier Brewing out of Lakewood, New York makes a nice IPA. I highly recommend it if it is available.

Dogfish and Victory both make some great ones...not sure I can choose a favorite between them.

I’ve never had an IPA that I didn’t like. Stone is great, as is Racer 5.

Founders Brewing Company, Grand Rapids, Michigan. I've been to 82 breweries in Michigan (not counting a few that have closed), and Founders is my favorite. Michigan has about 120 breweries right now, with several more opening this spring/fall.

Your timing, to me, is uncanny! Just last night, I had THE BEST IPA that I’ve ever had and I can’t remember the name...why? Because it was 9% alcohol. The logo on the tap was green in color. Anyway, I was on a TV shoot in a small Colorado town, and walked (thank gawd) to my lodge. Other than that, I LOVE Avery IPA as my ‘go to’.

My favorite IPA? IsoPropyl Alcohol.

If you enjoy the West Coast style IPAs you can’t go wrong with Laugnitas.

The Stone’s nice - I just had their “Ruination”. In the firdge at the moment is a very nice “Hop Henge” by Deschutes, “Yellow Wolf” by Alameda, and a “Hop Stoopid” by Lagunitas. My favorite, however, is by some neighbors up the road - Laughing Dog’s “Alpha Dog”. All nice, refreshing brews you’ll want to chug after mowing the lawn...uh...and wake up the next morning draped over the lawnmower...
