For starters, I have nothing against YOU personally as you are a FReeper so we share a common political ideology, including our 2nd Amendment rights. Go ahead with the personal attacks if you choose, but that is not my style.

Secondly, your dog appears to have some Labrador in it and/or perhaps Springer Spaniel. He does not have the jowls of a Pitt Bull. I wouldn't even consider yours an American Pitt Bull if I saw it.

You have only been on FR for a few minutes so this may be your first rodeo. I have been showing people the error of their ways concerning pits for going on a decade and a half. By virtue of that I have seen the most liberal, idiotic, stupid and incredibly ridiculous posts over the years. Just a bunch of BS.

As to my dog you once again put your ignorance on display. He is half pit and half Red Heeler. Neither breed is a slouch when it comes to being strong intelligent dogs.

I doubt very many Springer mixes weigh 85 pounds either, which is considerably larger than all but the largest pits. Also he isn’t stupid so even if I didn’t know his parentage I would have known he has not a single drop of Labrador blood.

You want to talk real pits? Well, you can’t because you don’t know anything about them. By the way it is pit not Pitt.

Let's talk about REAL Pitt Bulls, shall we?

Okay feller, I call your bluff and raise you a blind pit.

My son without my knowledge told a friend we would watch his dog. I arrived home and sat in my plush executive reclining office chair only to look up and see a pit bull I had never seen before stroll into the room. Rather than crapping my pants like some here would do I went over and started petting him only to discover that he was blind.

Key thing to understand here is the lack of crapping pants like some here certainly would do.

OISA, you really stepped in it this time. I usually agree with your posts, and you’re an active FReeper, but just as we cannot paint all people with the same brush, it is unwise to do the same with any breed of dog or other animals.

The dog-loving FReepers have pretty much shot your arguments down, and attempting to completely obliterate any specific breed of dog is silly, pointless, and probably impossible.

Each dog will live or die on the circumstances of its bad behavior, but killing the breed is throwing the baby out with the bath water.

Leave people’s beloved pets alone.

Actually, if you knew anything about dogs, mixed breed “Pits” are less “predictable” than full blood “Pits”.

Every full blood dog breed is quite predictable in its temperament.
That’s why breeders spend decades/centuries/millennia ‘setting type’.

When you start ‘mixing up’ different breed temperaments you lose quite a bit of the ability to predict an established/typical reaction in a dog.

Personally, I’d be much more concerned about a Border Collie/Cocker mix near my kid’s face than a Pit mix.

So, to use the term “real Pit” is counter productive.

A “real Pit” would be even more ‘predictable’.
