Funny how these “stadia” built in the ‘60s and ‘70s (maybe even later than that) are all obsolete and decrepit and in need of replacement and yet Fenway Park still stands at the age of 101 years and functions and sells out every seat for what is certainly one of professional sports most successful franchises. The only other place these days that is as iconic is probably Wrigley Field.

Fenway Park (God, forgive me) is an eyesore, an antiquary curiosity, not a great ballpark. It has had some great history, granted. As venue to watch a ball game, (mea culpa, mea cupla, mea maxima culpa) Yankee Stadium, Shea, Hadlock Field, Camden Yards, even gawdawful McCoy Stadium (Pawtucket) are better. As for transportation? Miserable. Pahkin’? Fuggetabouddit.
