I think the correct title is “news reader”. Some people in the back room write the stuff, send it over to the Progressive editor who checks it with the Carney guy at the White House, and then a technician types it into the teleprompter to be read by the appropriate “news reader”. Hopefully they don’t get a technician that types in a little humor like “my crotch itches” in the middle of the report.
