The mushrooms in the basement explains the chants of ‘mushroom! mushroom! mushroom!’ from the chantarellas.If your chantarelles aren't chanting, they've probably gotten moldy and won't taste good.
Warn me if you hear cries of "A snake! A SNAKE!!!" from the laundry room, please. I'll want to put on boots.

That’d be the sunroom.
Apparently there is a way into the sunroom for snakes from outside.
No badgers as of yet.
