My most confusing experience driving was in Denver. I had rented this three-cylinder Chevy entity and was trying to take my grandson to several places (the zoo, a museum, some humanitarian function--that was the trip after which he kept thanking me for taking him to the dentist [?].) You'd think you're on the correct side of the road to pull off and wind up at the correct destination but, oh no, you drove in endless circles on those unfathomable clover-leaf thingies.
Have never been to Chicago. Sounds too scary. What brought you there?

(I must be all here, because everyone keeps telling me I'm not all there.)

My first husband had shore duty at Great Lakes NTC in Waukegan, IL and Chicago was about 20 miles south. We were always going there to watch ball games: Wrigley Field, Comisky Park and Soldier’s Field.
We also went there for drive-in movies. Instant migraine when he said, “We’re going to Chicago.”
Unngh!
