All fine here. Kathleen has just been outside creepying on the lawn and nibbling on rocks and dirt. DP was grossed out by the rock-munching and brought her in to eat crackers, and there goes my clean floors ;-).
Bill’s been out with his friends for the last 24 hours, but I got a call from University of North Carolina about his transcript yesterday, so I know they’re working on his application. Hopefully he’ll get his acceptance soon, along with a ballpark figure on the tuition. (We didn’t know it until today, but there’s a tax credit for that!)
Tom, Elen, and Pat are at camp with the Boy Scouts, practicing archery (in rather high winds, but no rain). Sally went to a youth retreat with the Bishop at Belmont Abbey today, and I’ll pick her up from the carpool location at 5:00. We took the other kids to Chick-Fil-A for lunch.
As soon as I finish my Diet Coke, I have to sort a load of laundry and empty the dishwasher, then load up Frank and Kathleen to go pick up Sally and go to Walmart, while DP takes James and Vlad to Mass. We should all return in time for supper and not have to go out again.
And I’m on Disk 6 (out of 30) of “Anna Karenina.” It’s not as outrageously horrible as Anoreth implied, but I’m more tolerant of domestic minutiae and low-grade psychological warfare than she is.
(/ overwhelming banality)
“nibbling on rocks and dirt”
She watched the Battleflies again, didn’t she.
Dang. Could I endure Anna Karenina? I kdon’t k-now. My attention span, and all that.
I’m just surprised you find time to post!
