The last ferry I was on went from Manhattan to Staten Island. It was a rather “blah” ride. The only good thing was seeing the Statue of Liberty. What am I missing?

Did you go to Mandolin Brothers on Staten Island? If you didn't, then you missed the reason to go to Staten Island. One of the world's best stringed instrument shops.

My “tour guide” in NYC was jaded, and a cheapskate, so I got to see things I shouldn’t have and didn’t want to see, not to mention starved while I visited.
