We know that he phoned you, so we know that he’s alert and rational. We also know as a result that he was able to use his arms and hands, and we know that he knew enough to reassure you as his Mom. That’s a lot to know about his condition.

As I said, earlier, “he wanted his mommie.” So soon after the collision, he may not have realized the extent of the damage to himself. Been there, done that.
When I was in my own accident, I couldn’t imagine why someone would ask me what my name was. I mean, I knew it: Why didn’t they?
