I suspect he “wanted his mommie,” so I will reserve judgement on the whys and wherefores. When he is in a crunch, he contacts me, not his “whiffle” of the day. Sorry I can’t be more specific...he and I have always has a very strong bond.

I know what it's like Face. When our son needs important advice, or has had something bad happen, he turns to us. And we all know what it feels like but it's hard to describe.
The best way I could explain it is it feels like a lump of love. Radiant Love. It presents in the center of the chest, almost in the middle of the rib cage. It guides all conscious thought.
