I suppose we could use today’s thread to channel our collective inner Andy Rooney.
I find using misusing meetings at the top of my list. If you need to talk with someone, head over to his/her desk and talk. Don’t wait until you have a bunch of people who have nothing to do with it in a meeting and then start the discussion. At best it’s a waste of time. At worst the people who know nothing about it are going to gum up the works. Have an agenda. Invite people who are associated with the topics on the agenda. Achieve the agenda. Adjourn. Is that really so hard?
