Tom will let you know all about his brains ;-). Elen likes to say, “I’m not very good at (subject),” but then when someone forces her to do the work, doesn’t she find she’s very good at it!
Kids have an innate sense of when to be modest and when to brag. Sometimes, the signals get crossed, and we find an arrogant teen that turns us off, only to realize it was a defense mechanism. And on the other hand, modesty may hide a burgeoning ego.

And I’m off to bed. For some reason, I’m really tired today. Maybe it was yesterday’s encounter with my niece and her family, or the drive (30 miles one way) or both. However, I’m not a happy camper right now, and will retire to the boudoir for the duration.
