MANASSAS, VA, March 12, 2013, (LifeSiteNews.com) An expert on sexual ethics and pornography has used a disturbing new report out of the UK to describe how the culture of easy access to pornography and sexual promiscuity is destroying a generation of young people.
Dr. Judith Reisman, visiting professor at Liberty University School of Law, commented on the recent findings of the report from the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC), which found that from 2009 to 2012 more than 5,000 sexual assaults in England involved a child perpetrator raping or sexually assaulting another child. Dr. Judith Reisman
The offending children are ordinarily not aiming to do harm but rather to act grown up as they practice the fascinating, toxic stimuli adult society has coldheartedly loosed into their developmental environment," Dr. Reisman said.
Reisman pointed out that from the youngest age, children mimic what they see. She said that if they see sex acts, many children naturally practice what they see on vulnerable infants and children nearby.
We are allowing the cannibalization of our children, said Reisman.
NSPCC Policy Advisor Claire Lilley also linked the findings of her organization's report to pornography, warning that easy access to indecent material could be leading to an increase in the number of children needing help" by "warping young peoples views of what is normal or acceptable behavior.
Reisman pointed to research in neuroscience that has found that exposure to pornography can permanently alter the brain, triggering an instant, involuntary, but lasting, biochemical memory trail.
And once new neurochemical pathways are established, they are difficult or impossible to delete, she said.
Pornographic images also cause secretion of the bodys fight or flight sex hormones, she explained. This triggers excitatory transmitters and produces non-rational, involuntary reactions. Media erotic fantasies become deeply imbedded, commonly coarsening, confusing, motivating, and addicting many of those exposed.
This scientifically documented, neurochemical imprinting affects children and teens especially deeply; their still-developing brains process emotions differently, with significantly less rationality and cognition than the adult brain, Reisman continued.
The mainstreaming of pornography since the 1950s directly coincides with the unprecedented explosion in sexual disease and a huge, exponential increase in new types of pornographic copycat sex crimes by and to juveniles and adults. Such facts should inform the legal arguments about free speech versus pornography in public and even private venues, Reisman concluded.
Anybody got a Valium, Xanax, Dilithium Crystal Meth??? ANYTHING???
I’ve not had any issues looking at porn....did I just say that out loud?
Change your grip....
ROFLMFAO!!!
This is the great unspoken problem of today's 20-somethings. Totally ignored by the MSM.
And the reason that the whole "health care" meme from the Dems resonated with them
When I was that age nobody gave a rip about health insurance.
When Johnny or Susie come down with bumps on the ya ya’s or something worse....it’s always somebodies else’s fault.
People are becoming so desensitized to romance due to porn and overt sexuality being every where. Mystery? What mystery?
I’d say we are acting like animals but even animals court.
Animals don’t view porn, but they act like animals. :-)
I’ve been viewing porn since the 1950s, and I’ve never committed a sexual crime or had a sexual disease. Also I like romance (e.g., Jane Austen books and movies).
I do think there’s too much soft porn in pop culture, though. I don’t think it’s right to obtrude it upon people’s attention who aren’t looking for it.
Damn! So much for that ‘4 hours-see Doctor thing? 6 DECADES!!!
WOW!!!
;)
No romance? How dreadful. I wonder how the romance novel business is going. I’ve been known to read a Danielle Steel now and then.

IMO too many young men know not love nor romance, nor how to interact socially, nor how to appreciate the average normal woman.....a woman not enhanced or injected nor puffed....
its the end of marriage and family, and the main reason we have too few children...
Individuals are not groups. Certainly there will be people for whom consistent exposure to porn will not cause great harm or damage, depending on what you describe as harm or damage, of course. It’s like the pot smokers I know, or the beer drinkers. Most claim no damaging effects... but, then again, we have no way of comparing that person to what would have been if they had been sober, either.
On the other hand, you can see changes in groups within society. I’ve been a teacher for the past two decades, and your eyes would bug out witnessing what passes for normative behavior at dances. About 15 years ago, teenagers started something called “grinding,” which is exactly what it sounds like - two teenagers simulating sex acts on a dance floor. We constantly stop it, and they constantly try to do it. Teenagers, in general, are sexualized in a manner that did not exist when I was the same age 40 years ago. It is normal for a couple to start being sexual active after getting to know each other on a friendly basis. What we used to call “romance” has almost completely vanished.
Of course, there are exceptions. And it’s also true that human nature is still there churning under the experiment of limitless, unfettered sex. I read a lot of essays from a lot of kids, and it is heartbreaking to read from girls who simply want a husband who is loyal and strong, a family that has not been broken apart, and a few kids in a stable household. The boys are, for the most part, lost and unable to traverse the divide between the porn hookup and a real relationship.
I agree with the writer. A vivid image has an enormous impact on a young mind, and a vivid image of high-definition copulation can’t help but influence thinking. Yes, yes, yes, people have always had erotica somewhere in their culture, but not in this volume or this availability. We’re in the midst of great social experiment started with the free love advocates of the early 20th century that included promotion of valueless sexuality, open expression of all sexual feelings, and shameless pornography. (Huxley used it as the basis for “Brave New World” in 1932.) In any case, we’re seeing the results of that thinking on an entire populations.
God help us.

Thanks for this post.
We have lost so much.
“Ive not had any issues looking at porn”
Yeah, but what about:
“research in neuroscience that has found that exposure to pornography can permanently alter the brain, triggering an instant, involuntary, but lasting, biochemical memory trail.”
The sad thing is that, like bad breath, you don’t even know that it’s happened to you, uh, that is, I mean those “lasting, biochemical memory trails” thingies, which I think means something like actual “Memories”, you know, like Replicants didn’t have enough of in Blade Runner, but you do, because you are a REAL human and not a Replicant. And because you looked at porn.
Actually, I think Facebook, Twitter and Obammunism will be far more instrumental in destroying a generation of our youth than porn.
So what are we talking here? A grody issue of SWANK that you’ve kept under your mattress for thirty years? In that case I would see no problem.
