About a couple of weeks ago, in one of the political threads, Zatarain's Crispy Southern Style Seasoned Fish-Fri Mix was discussed.
I wish I would have saved it because FReepers had included their favorite Zatarain fish recipes which sounded DELICIOUS.
Please, could you share them with us again?

Sorry, I don’t have any, but would like to see the replies, because I’ve been looking for a good Catfish recipe myself. I have a GREAT deep fryer, and I’m highly motivated! lol
I’ve been frying fish for over 40 years, and this stuff is the best ever.
It sticks and DOES NOT fall off while frying. Also browns to a very nice and appetizing color.
Salt and pepper to taste is all you need.
Also available at Wal-Mart.

Roll fish in Krusteze tempora mix, place Fish back in marinade, thenn roll in Japanese panko (dried, seasoned bread crumbs) and straight into hot 260 peanut oil. Cook till done. Serve with tarter sauce and fresh Lemmon .
My mother’s secret southern fried shrimp recipe:
Dip shrimp in crushed cracker crumbs, then in the foam of a beaten egg, then in the crumbs again and fry.
Makes the lightest and tastiest shrimp ever.

I just use Zat’s seasoned fish fry. First, choose your fish. get fresh caught if possible but by no means used any farm raised species. What type of fish are you going to fry?? preparation of the fish is very important before you ever roll it in the meal I find it is best to season the fish before breading it. A combination of hot sauce, chillie powder, cumino, salt, garlic and black pepper makes it really stand out. I have fried over a ton of fish in my lifetime and no one has ever spit it out. BTW, I always catch my own, check out my profile. Now, if you need some BBQ tips, send me a freepmail, I have a thread on that somewhere also.
Yellow Lake Erie perch or catfish.
