Eight kids in a stolen car at 7 in the morning is usually a recipe for disaster. Interestingly, the news anchor on the video at the website (linked above) said the kids were, “Returning home from a sleepover.”

Really bad news writing. Owner files police report for stolen vehicle, investigators don’t know why the 8 teenagers were in the car, they didn’t have permission and were not related to the owner.
Really? Journalists can’t do any better than this?
Judging from their names, I’d say that these car thieves were definitely thugs in training.
I’m sure the owner has mixed feelings. Almost certainly, given that it was 7 AM, he had left the engine running to warm up the car. Now 6 people are dead...but (and I’ll leave it at that).
