I made it clear earlier (and many, many, other times) that my kids have NEVER stepped foot in a government school, so that example doesn’t work. But don’t you have the votes you need to get their money, just as they try to start raising their own family. You have NOTHING to worry about.

I won’t have to, but that’s only because I accepted what everyone has known FOR DECADES, which was that Social Security was simply another form of income tax - so I lived a bit lower than I needed to, and I’ll be fine in retirement.

The “taking it from your kids” was done by the politicians not the seniors that you rail about. And assuming that you vote, you had and have as much responsibility for that as anyone else.
I have kids too, and both are high achievers with families and six figure incomes. The two of them contribute more than I get per month. Quit bitching and raise you kids right and you will not have a problem (and neither will your kids).

You seem to have real losers as kids then, if they’re not willing to help you out - and instead you have to get the government to stick a gun to my kids to pay you tribute.

I’ll be signing up for Social Security in the very near future, the morning of the very first day I am eligible to start getting back some of what the scumbag politicians confiscated from me my whole life. Thanks, my kids are fine too. But when they get political power, there will be hell to pay.
You do realize that in Fleming V. Nestor the Supreme Court ruled that you are not entitled to Social Security benefits just because you paid into it. Any Congress can pass a law discontinuing this program, and you will get zero, nada.
Now, who in their right minds would have let the federal government run such a Ponzi scheme all these years? The American sheeple are dumber than rocks.

No, I’d be ok just reforming our handout programs. But I don’t even see that happening, until the dollar is worthless, and with that, the payouts will also be worthless. People will starve then...but that seems to be the preferred path, from what I can tell on this thread.
First off if this happened I would get by just fine...secondly the chances that this will happen is zilch...nada...at least in my lifetime!!!
