To: Defiant
I've been done with facebook for a while. It was cool to connect with some old friends, and it helped for entertainment when I was in the hospital, but:

I mentioned a doctor visit, and my uric acid levels were high. Next ad was wanting participants for a gout study.
I said something about saxophone. Next ad is Woodwind nd Brasswind.
I said something about my time in the Marines. Next ad is for an online university for veterans.
A good friend has a beautiful Gibson ES-335 guitar. I said something about that, and the next ad was for Musician's Friend.

So add in all the idiots, and I just got tired of messing with them.

you can really mess them up. early on I constantly said I wasn’t interested, closed out ads and reported them as spam etc. I get almost no ads. what I have found is that many of my “friends” are not so careful about what they like and allow, so i in turn know a bit more than I’d like about them sometimes.
