But now, we've got a President

No, we've got a Marxist Muslim POS occupying The White House. The constant barrage of conspiracy theories and fearmongering from some people (almost identical to the 9/11 truthers) serves no purpose. Most of us are aware of the real problems facing the country and chemtrails, fluoride and detainment/prisoner camps aren't on the list. Why can't we focus on the economy, border security, citizen liberty, entitlements, taxes and obscene government spending?

Good point, and thank you.

The constant barrage of conspiracy theories and fearmongering from some people (almost identical to the 9/11 truthers) serves no purpose.

Ahhh, but it does. There are two types of people these target.

1. The informed and active. These type of theories keep people chasing imaginary rabbits instead of seeing what is really happening (ex Sandy Hook conspiracies distract from how the administration will use any tragedy to take rights away- they don't need to create it, just exploit it). Politicians use fear marketing to control where people look, like a magician's slight of hand.

2. For those who potentially could be active in the system, it makes them want to not be. Conspiracies like concentration camps, FEMA death squads, etc, also keep people from becoming active simply out of self-preservation. They will be afraid to step out and actually be active against them such as running for office, getting involved as in their precincts as Precinct Chairs (probably the real power in the election process), even running for office. They don't want to draw red flags to themselves (and no, mouthing off on the internet doesn't count, it is like TV, keeps people distracted).

Also, why risk the exposure actually creating 'concentration camps', death squads, etc when just creating or feeding the story is just as powerful without the risk. All of those things cost massive amounts of money and risk exposure or turning over to different hands. A story is just a story and can be just as real in the minds of the reader.
