I am currently in country (AF) serving in a fire-team, certainly, I had better be armed or I bring nothing to the fight and I believe the gov. already knows that. Nothing has been learned by the gov. from my post.

Unfortunately a hunting license is intelligence gathered by the federal gov. through the States and yes, the gov. has already [assumed] a firearm is involved, but, the type, serial number, and location is still unknown to them.
Most importantly, you and yours are safe and never put all your eggs in one basket.
