On his Flickr posting, he notes, Looking for a better name, I suggested that they call it sequestered solar.A truly idiotic remark. Stored solar power is exactly what fossil fuels are.
Nuclear power doesn't have much of anything to do with the sun. The fissionable materials used in fission power predate our sun. Fusion power will imitate the sun, not store its power.

Another nuclear fusion box in the basement within a few decades. Just as soon as a few pesky problems are solved like containment and the fact that no one has produced more energy than used.
With a few decades.

Chase also says that the large government projects wont be able to do this until the turn of the century, when it might be just a little too late, to stave off disastrous global warming consequences of fossil fuels
Not that anything I think/feel matters, but I've always been hoping we'd managed to figure out fusion.
But after reading the quote above, I find myself hoping it takes a little longer. These global warming idiots will be insufferable if we figure out fusion before it becomes obvious to everyone (including those not paying attention) that climate change was always a scam.

, in time to have an impact on our climate.
And with this line all the credibility of the article vanishes in a puff of CO2.
