Buy Lenovo - their quality build is top notch. Go for a Thinkpad and you’re thinking IBM which made it world famous. You can’t go wrong with their laptops and the price is quite reasonable for what you get since IBM sold off its computing division several years ago.
The Lenovo E430 ThinkPad barely edges out the ASUS S405CA-RH51. Same price. The ASUS comes with a built-in 24GB solid-state drive (great for compiling code), but the Lenovo is 2.6Ghz processing speed vs 1.7GHz. Both have 1600Mhz FSB.
Still, I'd be a hypocrite if I chose Lenovo for a small performance edge and ignored this:
My issue with lenovo..
wifi card white list.
if it’s not on the list, it won’t boot with it in it. It will just give you a message to remove it.
Not a problem if you are going to leave the stock wifi card in it.
A problem if you install a 4g/wifi/bluetooth card in it. Or the original card goes tits up out of warranty.
