Thanks, dear Fatima, for letting everyone know of the loss of our dear FRiend’s father. ((((((HUGS))))))
Blessings, TCP!
I am SO very sorry about your loss.
Jack was such a beautiful horse,
loaned to us for such a short time!

When our granddaughter Sarah was very young, she told us she wanted to be a basketball coach like her daddy when she grew up. But she couldnt be one yet, she said, because first she had to be a player; and a player has to be able to tie her shoelaces, and she couldnt tie hers yet!
First things first, we say. And the first thing in all of life is to know God and enjoy Him.
Acknowledging and knowing God helps us to become what we were meant to be. Here is King Davids counsel to his son Solomon: Know the God of your father, and serve Him with a loyal heart and with a willing mind (1 Chron. 28:9).
Remember, God can be known. He is a Person, not a logical or theological concept. He thinks, wills, enjoys, feels, loves, and desires as any person does. A. W. Tozer writes, He is a person and can be known in increasing degrees of intimacy as we prepare our hearts for the wonder of it. Ah, theres the rub: We must prepare our hearts.
The Lord is not playing hard to know; those who want to know Him can. He will not foist His love on us, but He does wait patiently, for He wants to be known by you. Knowing Him is the first thing in life.

Thank you dear Yorkie!

When torrential downpours beat on the heads of my newly planted petunias, I felt bad for them. I wanted to bring them inside to shelter them from the storm. By the time the rain stopped, their little faces were bowed to the ground from the weight of the water. They looked sad and weak. Within a few hours, however, they perked up and turned their heads skyward. By the next day, they were standing straight and strong.
What a transformation! After pounding them on the head, the rain dripped from their leaves, soaked into the soil, and came up through their stalks, giving them the strength to stand straight.
Because I prefer sunshine, I get annoyed when rain spoils my outdoor plans. I sometimes wrongly think of rain as something negative. But anyone who has experienced drought knows that rain is a blessing. It nourishes the earth for the benefit of both the just and the unjust (Matt. 5:45).
Even when the storms of life hit so hard that we nearly break from the force, the rain is not an enemy. Our loving God has allowed it to make us stronger. He uses the water that batters us on the outside to build us up on the inside, so we may stand straight and strong.

Rain is of God. Here in West Texas we are enduring a severe drought of several years. Tragic really. There are no natural trees growing here, except for the trees planted and cared for by individuals in their landscaping; or seeded by other fast growing varities. SO trees are very valuable here. We have a few that are more drought tolerant than the areas ... from which we have moved.
Hundreds of trees are dead or dying ... We have had water rationing and are catching kitchen, water, showers too, etc., to attempt to keep trees alive. My water bill of nearly $200.00 a month. 30 year old ‘live oaks” are prevalent here. Even the ‘pinions’ are damaged and full of dying branches. CORRECTION there are a few scrub mesquites more like a bush or small trees, about 3 or 4 feet tall, outside of town in the surrounding areas. They have thorns.
It takes God to make it rain. He is getting man's attention. Only we are not turning from our disobedient ways. Father forgive us our sins and lead us in the way to be pleasing, to The LORD. We thank Thee for the blessings of each day, and Praise Thee Father, in Jesus name. Amen.
I was so sad to hear about the loss of your beloved Jack. I love animals too, and its just so sad when they leave us!! They are like members of the family for sure! God Bless you in your grief and God Bless Jack! Will remember you in my prayers, TCP! ((((HUGS))))
I am feeling much better today, Jaycee.
I am going to be open to the idea of getting another horse this summer. Will have to wait until June when my greenhouse stuff is all sold. My other horse Sunny is lonesome for his pal Jack. Horses like to be with other horses. That is why I had 2. I am praying for guidance to the right horse, and asking horse owning friends to be on the lookout for any suitable horses they might hear about.

In his battle with cancer, Steve Jobs, co-founder of Apple Inc., said: Remembering that Ill be dead soon is the most important tool Ive ever encountered to help me make the big choices in life. Because almost everythingall external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failurethese things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important. His suffering influenced the choices he made.
In contrast, the apostle Peter wanted to motivate his readers to use their suffering to make their lives count for eternity. And he wanted Jesus suffering and death to inspire them to accept the spiritual conflict and persecution that would result from bearing the name of Jesus. Because they loved Jesus, suffering was going to be normative. Jesus suffering was to serve as motivation to give up sinful passions and to be obedient to the will of God (1 Peter 4:1-2). If their lives were going to count for eternity, they needed to stop indulging in fleeting pleasures and instead exhaust their lives on what pleased God.
Remembering that Jesus suffered and died to forgive our sins is the most important thought we have to inspire us to make godly choices today and to make our lives count for eternity.

I lived in Tucson for 8 years and as in Texas trees are few, we take them for granted up here in Buffalo, they are everywhere and all around us.
Water, we are surrounded by water as I live on a island. Sure do wish I could ship you water and trees to share what we have. We live 5 miles from Niagara Falls so it will give you an idea the amount of water that passes by us daily.
I was happy to find out that you’re feeling some better. I pray you will find the perfect horse for Sunny. I know he’s lonely for his pal. I feel like you do, horses need to be with other horses. They know each other’s language, I hope. I will be excited with you on your search for the perfect horse for Sunny and when you do find the perfect horse, I will be celebrating with you. We will have a “horsy party”. So get busy girlfriend!! (((HUGS)))
So great hearing from you, dearest Dolly! I will be back on here later in the day to re-read your mail and try to answer. Hope your day has nothing but good things for you today, Dolly! Luv and Hugs for you!!
Oh, TCP....so very sorry to hear about your precious Jack. He’s now with all our other pets at Rainbow Bridge having the time of his life. He will be well taken care of by lots of friends! :)
Big ((((hugs)))) to you!
So nice to see you posting, dear jaycee. We have been very worried about you. Prayers you make a complete recovery. Take good care of yourself! (((hugs)))
Thank you so much, teenie. I’m glad to be back on for a little at a time. Still not up to par yet but trying hard. I always miss you all and appreciate your comments, prayers and good wishes. I just take it easy and do what I can (which isn’t much....LOL!) If I can be more patient, I may make it! Patience runs thin at times when we don’t feel as good as we want to feel.
