It does seem kind of silly to have steerage class on a luxury liner today though. People don't book cruises because they have to be somewhere. A hundred years ago, many travelers were looking for the cheapest one-way ticket to America they could find. They weren't taking a vacation.
Another article I read says there will be no television or internet and guests will be required to wear period-era clothing (which will be provided for them). I don't see this endeavor making much of a profit.
I’ve been on a few cruises theses last few years...as I’m retired, I can go at the last minute, and you can get some incredible values..as much as 70% off the price...because an empty cabin is worthless to the cruise line..also, we always take cheapest, inboard cabins..all you do there are the 3 s’ ( sleep, shower, and s**t)..otherwise you’re all over the ship..)..it’s an incredible value..
