I used to LOVE watching the Oscars: the gowns, the “inside” jokes from Bob Hope, the glamour...
Then the damn 60s and 70s happened and it all went to hell.
Am catching it a little tonight...beautiful gowns....that’s the only good part.
A song about boobs, a Teddy bear saying he does great sex, the show needs to be more “gay”....? Really?
C’mon people this is just sludge dressed up in a designer gown being run by a bell boy. No intelligence displayed, no literacy used, nothing clever at all...
It’s off....
That Teddy Bear skit was the low point of the entire evening.

That is real nice, old man. I suppose you should realize that it was always like this and that they just hid it better in the past. And Bob Hope? Come on, he was as dirty as it gets, it’s just that his jokes went over most people’s heads.
People who think there was no smut or commie liberals in Hollywood 50-60 years ago are not exactly bright.
