They say it was a meteor.
That’s why I think it was on their satellites that was in a somewhat controlled re-entry, and they don’t want anyone taking off with any ‘pieces’ of the object.

I actually saw a meteor once. I was working security and was walking across the parking lot to begin my clockround, when a huge green fireball shot overhead. I heard a sizzling sound, like one hears with sparklers.
I was in south Georgia, it was later reported that the meteor landed in North Carolina.
We had a CB radio in the office, and there was a lot of chatter.
