From KCal 9 News around 1:30 PM PST - Sorry, I don't own a PVC so I had to use my phone. I have this footage saved on my DVR.
Edit: To address comments: No, I did not edit this. This is recorded with my cellphone. This was recorded by reporter Carter Evans. It is not radio chatter that is being heard. He says earlier in the broadcast, (which I can also upload) that he is speaking to them via his speakerphone on the ground from the middle of the shootout, and the cops can also be heard telling him "get the f*** out of here pal". The timestamp of this event is ~1:35pm.

If he lived he could have been on the Democrat Ticket in 2016 as Hillary’s V.P.
The point is that the cops didn’t know who was in the cabin until after they burned it down and sifted through the rubble. So, for all they knew, he could have had a hostage in there.
“The point is that the cops didnt know who was in the cabin until after they burned it down”
How do you know that?
It is difficult to understand why this action is being discussed in relationship to due process. Many criminals are shot by law enforcement in the act of being a threat to others. A trial is not always necessary.
“How do you know that?”
Well, because Dorner led them to the cabin. They weren’t inside before he got there, and they weren’t inside after he entered. They only entered the cabin after it burned down.
Yes, according to reports, they chased him & saw him enter the cabin alone and spoke with the owner of the cabin on the phone. We have no idea if there were other footprints in the snow besides Dorner & the police officers who chased him. We have no idea what means they used to discern if anyone else was in there.
You seem to assume that they had no idea who was in the cabin and they intentionally burned it to the ground.
I don’t assume either one, and don’t believe the initial reports that came from the media - so many of them were false.
I’m glad he’s dead, & I don’t care how he died.
“We have no idea what means they used to discern if anyone else was in there.”
Discerning isn’t the same thing as knowing. They may have guessed, surmised, or discerned that there was nobody else in the cabin, but they didn’t know until they pulled only one body out of the rubble.
"You're a vicious bastard, Dorner....and uhhh.....I'm glad your dead."
