I am waiting for my daughter to come home from her Civil Air Patrol meeting and I have a movie ready to go for the family this evening. It is a much better alternative than having the yell at the TV using language that is completely unacceptable. I am sure it would only take 30 seconds before I call Obama Amish if I start watching him.

I previewed a movie that is on Netflix the other night. It seems like it will be a good one. A teenage boy that sails unassisted around the world back in the 60's. Low tech, no GPS, storms, strange lands, and for women, a love story. This is what we will watch.

The reason ... It's not because he sailed around the world, or climbed a mountain, it's because he didn't give up ... That gives people hope.

Downloading and storing vids. Just finishing the last two episodes of 'Bones', and 'Castle' is slotted to begin in a few minutes as well. Probably throw on either 'The Lorax' or (My preference) 'Brave' in a bit while getting dinner ready.

Might tune in later on for a summation of pres__ent's talking points / Plans-For-World-Domination. Anyone get a FReeper pool going on how many ovations and clapping-ovations BO comes away with?

“Are you being served?” was hilarious when it ran. You might like that one as well if you can find an archive of it online. Quite good, considering it’s a Pommie series -it actually has some commendable exchanges. Red Dwarf is much better, though.

I’ve heard of “Are You Being Served?” but haven’t watched it since I don’t usually watch comedies. I’m more into British documentaries, mysteries, and period drama series.

I am not usually into the Brit humour type of series, and for example actually found the majority of Monty Python skits rather boring in fact. However, I happened across Red Dwarf one lazy summer evening and enjoyed it, surprisingly. Are You Being Served came on immediately afterwards, and although it took a bit to catch on it seemed the writers improved as the series went on. It was well into the second season before I discovered the show was supposed to centre about the 'newest' salesclerk, as he was apparently some manner of famous actor in the UK.

I actually have all seven seasons of Red Dwarf on DVD here, and was actually planning on setting aside an upcoming weekend to watch them again. Somewhat addictive, despite Lister's thick dialect. Give it a try!
