Idunno, I don't think it too much to handle. On this end, I do what I want when I want, and do not have to put up with much guff at all. Then again, this is also a small college town so getting together now and again with a lass just to muck about for a bit is a nice change for the asking.

Oddly enough, now that I am no longer actively in Pursuit mode most times, I get a lot more interest from the opposite sex then when I spent so much more of My time doing all that chasing when I was still testing the waters.
A common evolutionary strategy.
Make a baby or babies with the most sexually attractive man or men, then find some sucker nice boy to marry you and take care of you and your kids.
Like how dogs evolved to spin around to flatten the grass before lying down, whether they are actually on grass or not.
The dog doesn't know it's spinning around to flatten grass--the dog only knows it feels good to spin around.
Same with women pursuing the above reproductive strategy: they don't know they're doing it to give their children sexy genes so that their sons can be bad boys and impregnate many women. They only know it feels good, just like they know it feels good to find a nice guy afterward.
I believe that I’m a good woman. I’m 100% devoted to my husband and have no interest in other men. I’m always on his side and in his corner, and I’m his biggest cheerleader. I’m always praising him and I never hurt his feelings. I am very protective of him and God help anyone who even tries to mistreat him. I make him feel very loved and appreciated every single day. I show him a lot of affection. He knows that I will never leave him and that he can always count on me. I just completed cancer treatment and he took such good care of me and was very loving and caring.

Jeez, mate. Have a cold one or several and maybe we can commiserate sometime. My experiences are not as extreme as yours seem to have been, but s’truth I been in somewhat similar shenanigans in years past. With you on the appreciative women part, but sorry to say I am well past the door-holding phase these days.
