The ASDF was a relic pre-statehood. Once Alaska became a state, the Alaska National Guard became the primary force; the ASDF was voluntary, ex-military — sort of like volunteer firefighters after a city has its own paid firefighters. The elderly commander was running the force as though it was his own enterprise: firing without cause, not enough training, no real organization. After a complaint was filed with the Governor’s office in 2007, an investigation was conducted by the state’s military and veterans affairs commissioner and concluded the ASDF had become a liability to the state especially if the state continued to issue weapons to this outfit. The commander resigned, and members bellyached.

This gun grab has ONLY JUST BEGUN! Oh, the Sandy Hook incident, tragedy, was bad enough; and Obama’s not letting a CRISIS go to waste. - Worse is likely to happen with so many people being on pins and needles, and more Narcissists being all psyched up to show their butts. Then, of course, Obama will be JUSTIFIED in taking any drastic measures which he deems necessary. - To heck with the economy and “job creation”. Thank you for the post. We all know that there is good and evil and proponents of each. No one ever lived that was not criticized, including Jesus Christ, and his apostles. Satan is the god of this world, and very active including America. Which is obvious with the acceptance into law of government paid abortions, and the gay agenda being sanctioned, some churches are accepting such a life style. "come out of her my people"
