This will sound stupid but should you get a gun first. My husband and I are wanting to get a gun we know nothing and some Freepers have said go to a shop that has a range and you can try different guns out before you buy so should we do that before we take a NRA class? I do know we have to take a test and get a HSC bfore we can get the gun I live in Cali and they are strict here. To be honest with you it is a bit overwhelming.
They’ll tell you to get a 38 revolver to start. The thing is, think of it as your first gun, not your only gun.
I would strongly recommend NRA training first.Shooting both pistols and revolvers are part of the Basic Pistol course.
