Angie Miller

1st Song

They each sing two songs tonight: One they wish they wrote, and one Bacharach clunker they're stuck with. I don't which this one is, but it's dull so I'm guessing it's a Bacharach.

Angie sings it well enough, but she can only make elevator music so exciting.

Keith: You look great tonight. Here is what I want to say about where you are tonight. Don't rely on your voice alone. Give me an impassioned performance. You can make it look too easy and feel too easy.

Minaj: (Didn't like it) Felt old fashioned.

Randy: You gotta digest it like a song you wrote. You're voice is unbelievable. But that emotion ... I felt a little there. You're still gonna be around.

Mariah: As a judge, I feel like it's making your next performance better, not tearing you down. In you're pronunciation, it's so per-FECT. It makes me feel like you're focusing on the pronunciation (and not the passion) Forego a little of that and embrace the song.

Angie: I love hearing what they're saying because what they're saying is true.

Yes Jonny it was a Bacharach song...Dionne Warwick sang the original. I remember it well...(I’m so old...)

I realize I’m pretty phony and all about appearance but look at my eyes! Aren’t they gorgeous? Who cares if I don’t feel the song?
