Randy: You needed to come in and sleigh it and that didn't happen for me.

Mariah: I really enjoyed your last performance. When you say the song was too big for you, I don't know what that means (it means she couldn't sing it very well). I hope everyone enjoyed your previous performances and keep it going.

I guess I picked a good night to get caught on the phone...I am still waiting to “get into this season”. Thanks to your overviews I can see if I’ve missed anything earth shattering.

Miss Alaska kept breathing between words and there was some unintentional squealing too. I watched away from my pc last night. There were 7 decent contestants last night imo. Kookette, Miss Alaska and the girl w/the dark long hair with a wobbly voice were the worst imo.

That leaves seven that were credible. I like Candace and Amber the best. Amber could be the next Whitney Houston without the drug habit. Candace has a voice that's a throwback to the great jazz era and it was great to hear that. The other five I like I can't remember right now. The blonde country singer, the Lousiana girl was okay and the dark haired country girl wasn't all that imo but they seemed to like her.
