“I hear these complaints alot. Men want to milk the cow, but they wouldn’t buy the American breed. Some, in fact, are increasingly interested in foreign brides. Seems to me that there’s little wrong with the male side of the equation and the problem lies with who the women are being trained to be.”

A lot of men are going for asian brides cause those women are more submissive. However lets be honest, those women only want a green card for them and their families. Some men have been stiffed by these chicks once they got to the US.

Yeah, there is that risk. To be honest, there are as many jerks on the male side as there are feminist robotniks (other terms come to mind) on the female side. The problem, as I see it, is twofold. First, traditional roles (remember, these roles are historic/natural/evolutionary/created) are in decline and a crisis exists in families at all levels of society because of it. Two, the culture has been tilted to favor women in an equal and opposite posture that feminists have railed about being the status quo for men.

What it adds up to is that men looking for traditional marriage partners are shopping in the wrong place. For women, imagining the brave new world of pseudo-equality in marriage, are unaware or in denial about what the consequences of their role ascendancy means for marriage, families and society. Of course, there's always some sociology professor someplace that will be interviewed/write an article/teach a class that will extol the greatness of liberation and freedom in women's live and new roles.

For what? To be another man?

No thanks.
