I’ve been advised - and considered - a cut down or child’s 20ga shotgun is the ideal home defense weapon for CQB - mainly because it packs enough punch to down a perp, but also it is shorter, less wieldy, and won’t blow huge holes in the walls and maybe accidentally kill the spouse or kids.....

Yeah, me too. Scatters a wide shot plus less likely to go through walls and hit someone you might not want to hit.

The left-hand 870 is handy, loaded with alternating 00 buck & slugs. The K bar knife comes along as back up.
