Which gets back to one of my previous points. Once you hit that point, it doesn't matter what religion you choose. The above could just as easily apply to the Odenic Rite as anything else.

That's likely not to be true. I don't know anything about the Odenic Rite, but I know the God who is represented in the Bible is not represented in the Koran. So, accepting God for what He is doesn't help in interpreting the Koran in the least.

This is why Jesus was able to interpret (fulfill in New Testament language) the Law with such authority. He knew the law giver. I think if the Koran had existed at the time, and Jesus had been asked to interpret it, He quite possibly would have responded, "Why bother?"

As far as written words go, God, as He is, is well represented in the Old Testament and well interpreted in the New Testament. There are other books. Some may be valuable. But these two are sufficient.

Yes. It is. Once you take on FAITH that what you have read and have been told by other humans is true, then it really doesn't matter any more. Reality takes a back seat at exactly that point...

My view is, we get tied up in the mythology and lose the message. Just as we are doing here.

This is nothing new.
