Pinewood Derby results:
Pat was the overall winner (cheering crowd noise!), and also got a citation for “Most Futuristic Vehicle.”
James was in contention for the finals, though ultimately didn’t make it, but his car was clocked at the fastest speed of the day in one of his races.
Vlad’s car won one race and had mixed results in the others, so he didn’t get any awards, but did get lots of snacks.
Sally’s car beat those of the twin 4-year-old Turner boys in the non-Scout race, and it looked nice, too (gold).
Kathleen was the cutest baby.
Frank, with perfect “Socrates is a cat” logic, explained why what looks like a small garden-cultivator is really an alien space ship: “It’s green. Alien space ships are green.”

DANG! *turning blue here* I don’t have anything in my closet that’s warm enough to withstand this cold wind. My heavy stuff is in storage. *sigh*
