Those are fine claws! We have cat-nail-clippers here somewhere, and when we find them, we will cut Jake’s and Shannon’s claws. Jake struggles, but Shannon just sits on your lap calling you very bad names. “Aaar nyaaaaaer nyeekark!”

I always gave Calvin and Hobbes a little bit of Vaseline when I was done with the clipping. They liked it, and it reduced the amount of hair balls coughed up.

My late Rocket used to threaten to bite when Bryan trimmed his claws. He’d open his mouth, bare his teeth and pretend he was going to bite, but he never did.

He was always threatening to swat the other cats, and chasing them around, but he never once hurt one of them in any way, nor did he ever bite or claw us on purpose during the entire 15+1/2 years that he was with us.

We adopted him when he was “2” (maybe), and he was always a perfect gentleman. I sure miss that little stinker.

Bryan regularly trims the sharp ends off Lucas’s claws, but he never takes off too much. Luke gets upset when his claws are too short. I think he’s very proud of them...
