Science Olympiad participants are home. Elen and partner got 4th place in “Dynamic Planet,” subtopic Glaciation. Tom and partner got 6th place in “Materials Science,” a very difficult chemistry/physics combo. The junior-high team (including Elen) will go to the state tournament in April, while the senior-high team (Tom) will not, so Tom can go to the Diocesan Youth Conference.
Cost of the DYC for Tom will be about the same as cost for Elen and Dad to go the Raleigh overnight!
