The plumbers fixed most of what they broke, but the carpet they tore up needs to be relaid by a pro, and the cut-into drywall has to be repaired.

I could do the drywall (I did all the repairs on our earthquake-damaged California house before we sold it), but Hubby insists that we hire someone who has more [cough] recent experience.

So I wait. Only one more week. [drums fingers...]
