Hi TOL.

Have you seen this film?

I'm not big on comedies but this is one of my few favorites and I just found it on YouTube.

TIN MEN

No, but she can emit a hell of a shriek if she feels like it. She can strum the ukulele a bit: she's been playing Pat's original mini-uke, now that he has his full-size concert version.

After dropping Sally off, we went to Kohl's, where DP bought a dress shirt. They have a good price on baby clothes, but I don't want to get spring clothes for Kathleen until we see whether she decides to walk: you don't want a crawler in a dress! Then we went to Target, where I bought two pairs of pants for Frank (3.50 each), but I'll have to order underwear from Hanes.com because everything in the stores is too big. At GNC, I found kelp capsules.

Then we went to "Miro' Spanish Grille," to which we have been 3 or 4 times in the past. We arrived just after they opened at 5:00, so had the whole place to ourselves for a while, and it was very nice. We had a tapas plate with 7 or 8 different items. DP ate the calamari, I ate the fried plantain. Then he had a grilled red snapper with shrimp and vegetables, and I had a spiced pork dish with black beans, rice, and more plantain. Sort of Caribbean, but not as strongly flavored as Cuban: I put about 18 ingredients in my Cuban bean dish! I couldn't eat all the pork. I'm sure Bill, who has just arrived from the evening out with his band, will enjoy it.

Then we had tres-leches cake, with a sauce that I'm sure featured heavy cream, but what the heck. You're only married 24 years once (at least, we are, only once) and I'd been through five birthdays in the last two months without a bite of cake. And DP had coffee and I had another glass of Argentinian chardonnay.

There was a couple at the next table whom we know by sight from church, with a boy about 1-1/2. He was pretty good, and we hardly care unless it's one of our children misbehaving, but at one point, he took the LED faux-tealight from the candleholder and put it in his mouth. I thought his mom would die! Kathleen would have done that, too, but she was safely at home ;-).

Very nice evening, and we didn't talk about Scouting at all, and nothing went wrong at home. The kids were all askew and akimbo all over the living room, watching "Phineous and Ferb," when we walked in shortly after 7:00.
