Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedevs off-air comments that Russian Presidents are given a secret file about extraterrestrials living among us created much media interest. Most news reports claimed that Medvedev was simply joking. His apparent reference to the Men In Black movie as a source of information on a super secret agency that monitors extraterrestrials on Earth was commonly cited as key evidence that he was in fact joking. The reasoning is that no political leader would refer reporters to a comedy to clarify national policy. It has now emerged that Medvedev was not referring to the Men in Black comedy after all, but to a recent Russian television documentary titled Men in Black that reveals many details about an extensive cover up of extraterrestrial life visiting Earth.
However, a more accurate translation of what Medvedev actually said about the Men in Black phenomenon was: You can receive more detailed information having watched the documentary film of the same name. So Medvedev was referring to a Russian documentary film titled Men in Black, not the Hollywood blockbuster by the same name...
Russian Men In Black (MIB) documentary, a number of prominent UFO cases in Russia and the USA are discussed. The Roswell UFO crash is covered, along with a number of extraterrestrial abduction cases, and UFOs disabling nuclear weapons facilities. The documentary examines testimony that extraterrestrial bases have been established on Earth, and that some are in restricted US military areas with the full knowledge of the Pentagon. The documentary even goes on to seriously discuss President Eisenhowers alleged meeting with extraterrestrials, where agreements were reached with some of the visitors giving them permission to take some of the Earths resources in exchange for advanced technology...

Then why is he considered so smart? Even if feet were games, that would not mean games were feet. Unless he means a foot as in a measurement rather than an extremity of the human body.
This confusion of language is part of our problem in modern days. No wonder Congress can't get anything done.
Well, that and most Congresscritters are idiots, but let's not go there.
Watson was probably wondering whose foot it was and how Holmes acquired said foot to begin with.
“My boss is very pecuiliar!”
Well, THAT makes sense.
I think.
But I don't think all that well in the mornings, so we'll see.
I wake up in the morning fresh from exploring strange worlds that aare horror drenched.
Like the one with the national “drone Runner” game show.
Or the one where we are the imaginary creations of a daydreaming computer.
I went through that same experience at DMV yesterday! LOL!
(Now THAT experience was the thing of nightmares, for sure!)
Naw, Jeremy Brett was brilliant as Holmes!
We have “Color Your Own Sherlock Holmes Graphic Novel” for your vacation entertainment ...
Dover has some more travel books I’d like to have ... maybe I’ll go order them, and the new Steampunk coloring book. Since I didn’t get the DVDs from Ignatius, why not?
DMV, movie theater, restroom in certain establishments, exit door under certain circumstances.
[Hey, how was I to know they’d panic when my inhuman form revealed itself as I sneezed?]
I would not have liked to have grown up with that name, though.
I haven’t been able to do anything with my coloring for almost two weeks. So coloring on vacation will be fun! YAY!
I got the insurance cards printed out this morning. I guess I missed that part of the insurance application because I didn’t have the money for everything at once. Funny how that works!
I was getting DVDs from Netflix, but I decided that I just wasn’t watching enough. Probably because I still haven’t gotten the X-Box to hook up to the TV. *sigh*
My brane!! It wobbles!
I think the reason the Partnership for a Drug Free America never did a commercial about your brain on technology is because it would make putting your brain on drugs look like a walk in the park.
A walk in the park, that is, without an MP3 player, a GPS, or a Smart Phone that is watching Facebook and Twitter updates. A walk without those things is fun. A walk with those things will do things to your brain.
Which brings me full circle. :)
I have neither and MP3 player, a GPS, nor a SmartPhone, so my wobbly brane is from something else.
And I cancelled my facebook account, and don’t pay much attention to twitter...they both seem like time wasters.
When I walk, I hear only the voices in my head, which tell me what to do and say... ;o]
Jeremy Brett was the best. He absolutely captured Sherlock as he was written.
Basil merely played him as we'd like to think he is!
Typical.
Remember the controls in the alien spacecraft in Independence Day?
On their feet, i.e., moving.
As opposed to gone to ground. When the game has gone to ground it’s only good for coffee...
We watched a couple of episodes after we learned the actors would be in “The Hobbit.” I thought Mr. Cumberbatch was effective, but I was less happy with the whole affect of the show. I just think it should be Edwardian, I suppose.
“A Study in Scarlet is interesting, but not good on Mormons. ACD was not very friendly to religions other than his. The “Piltdown Man” still cracks me up, though. That was a famous hoax he perpetrated.
So is that what happened. I just figured you unfriended my like someone else who used to be my r/t friend for about 15 years. {poof!}
It looks You First!
No You!
I think Piltdown Man was a famous hoax ACD (and Teilhard de Chardin) fell for, rather than perpetrated. ACD was a real flake in a lot of ways. He’s a recurring character in the “Murdoch” mystery series.
